For several years, sisters from the Congregation of Our Lady of Mercy and the faithful venerators of Divine Mercy from around the world have been able to participate in our Perpetual Chaplet of Divine Mercy at www.faustyna.pl. In 2017, 2,556 from dozens of countries joined in this perpetual prayer. Thus, day and night, the incessant cry “have mercy on us and on the whole world” could be heard under the throne of God. We at the Shrine of Divine Mercy in Krakow-Łagiewniki would like to thank all those involved in this great work from the depth of our hearts and commend you all to the Mercy of Jesus through the intercession of St. Faustina.
The online video broadcast from the chapel of the miracle-famous image of Merciful Jesus and the tomb of St. Faustina at the Shrine of Divine Mercy in Krakow-Łagiewniki allowed almost 525,000 unique users to pray with us in 2017. On average, 1,548 individuals benefit from this service. The video and sound has been broadcast by the American company Livestream and financially supported by donors. The Congregation would like to offer our heartfelt gratitude to the donors, who are entrusted in our prayers to Divine Mercy.
In 2017, 124 000 users accessed the Diary of St. Faustina in Polish and other languages at www.faustyna.pl. In the same year, full translation of the Diary was made available also in Italian. All language versions are now available also for tablets and smart-phones. Daily quotations from the Diary have been subscribed by almost 1450 – in Polish, Spanish, German, English, Italian and Russian. Many users have also accessed the Diary Concordance function available in Polish.
The super-high quality digital reproduction of miracle-famous image of Merciful Jesus from the Shrine of Divine Mercy in Krakow-Łagiewniki was viewed at our website by almost 49,772 users in 2017. The digital image was downloaded for non-commercial purposes by over 183 users from 47 countries: USA, Germany, Chile, Poland, Italy, Brazil, Croatia, Slovenia, England, Canada, Urugay, Argentina, France, Australia, Slovakia, Spain, Norway, Colombia, Mexico, Austria, India, Equador, Switzerland, Bolivia, Romania, Philipines, Russia, Venezuela, Panama, Ghana, Ukraine, Lithuania, Honduras, Serbia, Kongo, Lebanon, Madagascar, Hungary, Ireland, Kameroon, China, Guatemala, Peru, Puerto Rico and Portugal.
During every evening Mass in January, the Litany of the Most Holy Name of Jesus will be sung or recited in all chapels of the Congregation of the Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy. Consideration of the antiphons from this Litany is a way to better understand who the Son of God, the One embodied to save and sanctify us, is. At the Shrine of Divine Mercy in Krakow-Łagiewniki, the evening Mass will be celebrated in the chapel of the miracle-famous image of Merciful Jesus and the tomb of St. Faustina every day at 7:00 pm (except Thursdays).
In January 2018, on-line broadcasting from the Shrine of the Divine Mercy in Krakow-Łagiewniki will be available on the cable TV network in Nowe Miasto on Pilica river. The broadcasts from the chapel of the miracle-famous Divine Mercy image and the tomb of St. Faustina are available at www.faustyna.pl in seven languages as well as on smartphones and tablets (androids and iOS).
In 2017, our work Chaplet for the Dying included over 20,000 persons whose names we received by text on + 48 505 060 205 or our mailbox. We have gathered almost 2,000 participants who offered their help to the dying each day in a particular time zone by praying the Chaplet of Divine Mercy for the intention of a person whose name they received by a text message or email. The contributors also included donors, doctors, nurses, volunteers in hospitals and hospices and all those who provided the names of the dying. We would like to share our deepest gratitude for your merciful attitude towards individuals who found themselves in the hardest moment of human life, when we make the final and the most important decision here on Earth: the one concerning Eternity. Such deeds of mercy make us rich in the face of the Lord and beautiful in our humanity. All the participants are commended to the Mercy of God in our everyday prayers at the Shrine of Divine Mercy in Krakow-Łagiewniki. On January 13 (Saturday), a monthly meeting of the Sychar community at the Shrine of Divine Mercy in Krakow-Łagiewniki will take place. At 5 p.m., in the chapel of the miracle-famous Divine Mercy image and the tomb of St. Faustina, Holy Mass will be celebrated in the intention of married couples who are experiencing problems and are in danger of falling apart, followed by a meeting in the “Faustinum” hall. In this intention – of married couples in crisis – the Sisters of the Congregation of Our Lady of Mercy hold daily Rosary prayer at 8.30 pm at the Łagiewniki Shrine.
In 2017, our website, www.faustyna.pl, recorded almost 6,000,000 views and over 1,300,000 visitors – including almost 950,000 Polish-language version users, over 124,000 English-speakers, over 60,000 Spanish-speaking, 30,000 Italian-speaking, 45,000 French-speaking, 28,000 German-speaking, 2,300 Russian-language and 60,700 others. Thanks to our Contributors, IT specialists and Translators, updates were possible at all our language pages. The Congregation of the Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy would like to thank all the Cooperators, without whom this work could not be albe to grow, and all online Visitors, without whom this wonderful exchange in the provision of good could not take place and carry the message of Mercy and all spiritual heritage of Saint Faustina to the world. On January 8th, as on every eighth day of the month, the community of the Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy in Gdansk will support married couples praying for offspring. From February 2017, already over 300 married couples from Poland, Italy, France and the USA have enlisted for the prayer and 54 of them are already expecting children, including one couple with twins coming up. One child – the little Jakub – was already born on November 8th. Two children, a boy and a girl, were adopted. Intentions asking for prayer for this purpose (names of married couples) can be sent by email at: firstname.lastname@example.org or through the fanpage of the “Kobieta jest boska” (Woman Is Divine) formation group.
