On the occasion of the hundredth anniversary of Poland’s restored independence, the Women’s Conference is organizing a vote on the Polish woman of the century. It is aimed, first and foremost, to spread knowledge about the beautiful life of women we as Poles all over the world can be proud of. These exceptional, courageous, passionate and loving women include St. Faustina Kowalska, a prophet of our times Jesus sent out with a message of Mercy to the whole world. She is one of the most outstanding mystics in the history of the Church, bringing a new school of spirituality to its history. Her charism and the mystical experience have brought about one of the largest movements in the Church: the Apostolic Movement of Divine Mercy. Her tomb at the Shrine of Divine Mercy in Krakow-Łagiewniki is visited by pilgrims from 90-100 countries in the world each year. Her Diary has been translated into many languages of the world and is one of the most often translated books from the Polish language. St. Faustina’s spiritual wealth inspires all: scientists, writers and artists, fascinating the young whose patroness she was during the WYD in Sydney and Krakow, and giving hope to people facing various life obstacles.
Voting for the Polish woman of the century is open until 15 January at: PolkaNa100;
